TİKA Supports the Training of Azerbaijani Veterinarians

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey held Veterinary Laboratory Training Courses at the Veterinary Control Central Research Institute in Ankara for the staff of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

10 veterinarians from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan were trained according to international standards in the laboratories affiliated with the Veterinary Control Central Research Institute, which is located in Etlik, Ankara, and is one of the most competent and capable veterinary laboratories in Turkey.

Throughout the applied training courses, which began on July 1 and lasted for a month, Azerbaijani veterinarians had the chance to develop themselves in various fields such as microbiology, pathology, parasitology, virology, food, rabies, anthrax, and tuberculosis.

In the first phase of the project, the Trainers’ Training modules were successfully completed in Ankara with the support of TİKA. It is planned to continue to hold these modules in Azerbaijan with the participation of veterinary specialists from Turkey using the equipment to be provided by TİKA
