TİKA Supports the Symposium That Brought Together Turkish and Uzbek Business people

The symposium “New Horizons of Economic Cooperation between Türkiye and Uzbekistan” was held in Uzbekistan with the support of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).

The symposium “New Horizons of Economic Cooperation between Türkiye and Uzbekistan” was held by the Economic Research Foundation of Türkiye and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on November 24, 2022, with TİKA’s support.

The symposium was attended by Sezai Uçarmak, Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye; Dr. Olgan Bekar, the Republic of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Tashkent; Azizbek Salaxiddinov, General Director of the Türkiye Department in the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan; Ethem Erkan Kader, Speaker of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Isparta (ITSO); Davron Vakhabov, Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan; Cemalettin Tuney, TİKA’s Coordinator in Tashkent; and many businesspeople.

The symposium featured presentations on Türkiye’s economic profile, potential opportunities for cooperation with Uzbekistan, the current state and future of the foreign trade potential between the two countries, the new investment areas for Turkish companies in Uzbekistan, and prominent industries.
