08 April 2022TİKA Supports the Infrastructure of the State Market Inspectorate in North Macedonia
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) inaugurated the head office of the Gostivar Inspection Department, affiliated with the State Market Inspectorate of the Ministry of Economy of North Macedonia.
TİKA repaired and equipped the old workspaces in need of repair at the head office of the Gostivar Inspection Department, affiliated with the State Market Inspectorate of the Ministry of Economy of North Macedonia.
In the first phase of the two-phase project, the Agency repaired and equipped the head office of the Kumanovo Inspection Department of the State Market Inspectorate and improved the work environment in the offices, where nearly 20 people work. In the second phase, 10 offices of the Gostivar Inspection Department, where nearly 30 people work, were repaired and equipped, and the work environment in these offices was improved, contributing to the improvement of the service quality.
The opening ceremony was attended by Halim Ömer Söğüt, TİKA’s Coordinator in Skopje; Aneta Simeska-Dimovska, Director of the State Market Inspectorate of North Macedonia; Igor Serafimovski, Manager of the Gostivar Inspection Department; employees of the institute; and other invitees.
In his speech, Halim Ömer Söğüt, TİKA’s Coordinator in Skopje, stated that TİKA was carrying out activities and projects in more than 150 countries, that it launched its operations in North Macedonia in 2005, and that it was active in every field that touches lives, especially in the fields of education, health, agriculture, and the development of administrative and institutional infrastructure.
Aneta Simeska-Dimovska, Director of the State Market Inspectorate of North Macedonia, said, “TİKA met the State Market Inspectorate’s need for the repair and equipping of its work environments in different cities through our partnership. We would like to thank TİKA for this project. The purpose of the project was to increase the quality and effectiveness of the employees of the institution.”
After the opening ceremony, which was attended by all the regional Inspection units across the country, a plaque was presented to TİKA for its support.
