TİKA Supports the Health Infrastructure of Chad

The Gynecology Clinic that Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) built in the city of Moussoro in Bahr el Gazel, Chad, and equipped with modern health equipment was put into service.

The opening ceremony was attended by Loum Hinansou Laïna, Governor of Bahr el Gazel; Fatime Ahmat Wori, MP for Bahr el Gazel; Vedat Baş, TİKA’s Coordinator in N'Djamena; officials of the Ministry of Health; local administrators; and local people.

The Gynecology Clinic built and equipped by TİKA aims to protect maternal and child health, reduce the infant mortality rates, and provide access to better quality healthcare in Moussoro, which has a population of nearly 60,000, together with neighboring settlements.

TİKA carries out numerous projects in more than 170 countries around the world every year. The Agency has implemented over 100 projects in several fields, such as health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and transportation, in Chad.
