07 February 2022TİKA Supports the Development of Uzbekistan’s Media
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) built a modern TV studio at the University of Journalism and Mass Communications in Uzbekistan in order to train the skilled workforce needed by the media industry.
Currently, there are over 1500 mass media organizations and channels operating in Uzbekistan. However, as a new event or development takes place every second in today’s world, meeting the need for skilled workforce who will follow the developments closely and give quick, impartial, accurate, and effective messages about Uzbekistan both to the citizens and to the international community has become one of the most recent topics.
As part of the project developed in this context, TİKA built a state-of-the-art TV studio at the University of Journalism and Mass Communications in order to train the skilled workforce needed by the media industry in Uzbekistan.
The project included the construction of a studio and a production control room to broadcast live on TV or on the Internet and the donation of modern equipment such as state-of-the-art cameras, tripods, intercoms, live broadcast and editing systems, and light and sound systems. Furthermore, the on-the-job training of 5 faculty members who will provide training on studio equipment has been completed.
The project aims to contribute to the development of the media in Uzbekistan, to broadcast current television programs using modern technical equipment that complies with the international standards, and to train highly skilled specialists who are knowledgeable about and skilled in contemporary television broadcasting.
