TİKA Supports the Balkan Countries Anesthesia Days VII

The COVID-19 pandemic has been thoroughly discussed at the “Balkan Countries Anesthesia Days VII” e-congress, which has been carried out with the cooperation of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Anesthesiology and Reanimation Specialists' Society (ARUD).

As one of the events within the scope of the national and international scientific studies of the Anesthesiology and Reanimation Specialists' Society with the support of TİKA, the “Balkan Countries Anesthesia Days VII” e-congress was held with the participation of around 300 scientists, including 83 speakers and the session president from Turkey and 116 speakers from the Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia), England, Norway and Belgium.

At the e-congress, information exchange took place regarding anesthesia and intensive care during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the latest developments and practical applications in the pain field.

The Anesthesiology and Reanimation Specialists' Society has been organizing a congress each year since 2013 in the fields of anesthesia and intensive care.

After the “Turkic Republics Anesthesia Days, Transplantation, Anesthesia and Intensive Care” congress, which was supported by TİKA and held in 2013 in Baku, Azerbaijan, the following congresses have been organized in the Balkan countries.

Organized under the name “Balkan Countries Anesthesia Days”, these congresses were held in Pristina, Kosovo in 2014 as “Balkan Countries Anesthesia Days I – Pediatric Anesthesia and Intensive Care”; in Tirana, Albania in 2015 as “Balkan Countries Anesthesia Days II – Innovations in Anesthesia and Intensive Care”; in Skopje, Macedonia in 2016 as “Balkan Countries Anesthesia Days III – Orthopedic Anesthesia and Intensive Care”; in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2017 as “Balkan Countries Anesthesia Days IV – Abdominal Anesthesia and Intensive Care”; in Gaziantep, Turkey in 2018 as “Balkan Countries Anesthesia Days V – Geriatric Anesthesia and Intensive Care”; and in İzmir, Turkey in 2019 as “Balkan Countries Anesthesia Days VI – Trauma Anesthesia and Intensive Care”.
