TİKA Supports Tajikistan’s Largest Media Group

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided technical equipment to the new headquarters of ASIA-Plus, which has been operating in the media industry in Tajikistan since 1996 and is the country’s largest media organization.

The Asia-Plus Media Group includes a news agency, a national radio station, a weekly newspaper, and a news website, which reports news stories in English, Russian, and Tajik.

ASIA Plus stands out as the most influential news agency in the country, since it has the capacity to report national and international news stories on politics, economy, and social and cultural affairs in Tajik, Russian, and English and has the highest number of followers on social media in Tajikistan.

Furthermore, representatives of all foreign missions and international organizations in Tajikistan stay informed on current events in the country and in the world, thanks to this Agency.

As part of the project, TİKA provided furniture and equipment to the new headquarters of the Agency in order to strengthen the infrastructure of the Agency, improve its broadcasting capacity, and allow it to broadcast under modern conditions.

The opening ceremony for the new headquarters of the ASIA Plus Media Group was attended by a large number of people, including the ambassadors of several countries and the representatives of international organizations.
