TİKA Supports Rice Producers in Cambodia

A memorandum of understanding for increasing the efficiency of rice production has been signed between Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF).

It is planned to provide agricultural equipment support through the project to be carried out in cooperation with the Cambodia Rice Federation with the memorandum of understanding. 10.000 rice seedling trays and 20 rice transplanters will be provided to 5 agricultural cooperatives through the project to be held in Cambodia where 20 percent of its population works in rice production, processing, and marketing.

With the support to be provided for the cooperatives that are engaged in rice farming in Takeo, Prey Veng, Kampong Thom, and Kampong Cham provinces, it is aimed to increase efficiency in rice production of Cambodia, rice of which was elected as the best quality rice in the world for 5 times in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2022.
