TİKA Supports Radio Turkmeneli in Iraq

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided modern radio broadcast equipment to Radio Turkmeneli, the voice of Iraqi Turkmens, to improve the technical capacity of its live broadcast and recording studios.

Broadcast and recording consoles, mixers, transmitters, workstations, and acoustic and soundproof flooring of transmission rooms were provided and installed as part of the project, which was implemented to improve the broadcast and service quality of Radio Turkmeneli, headquartered in Kirkuk.

Radio Turkmeneli has been actively broadcasting since 2004 for the purposes of contributing to the cultural life of Iraqi Turkmens and informing the public about the matters concerning Turkmens and the developments in Turkey. The radio station has become a national station following the frequency allocation that allowed it to broadcast to Baghdad and surrounding cities.
