TİKA Supports Productive Vietnamese Women

In cooperation with the Islamic Association of An Giang, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) equipped the sewing workshop built in An Giang, a province with a high unemployment rate and limited employment opportunities, with sewing machines.

With this project carried out by TİKA, An Giang Vocational Training School, which holds courses for needlecraft, was equipped with 50 industrial sewing machines and the necessary equipment to support women who are mostly widowed and attending vocational courses held for them to earn a livelihood.

In his speech during the delivery ceremony, the President of the Islamic Association of An Giang, Hji Jacky, stated “We thank TİKA for supporting Vietnamese women. TİKA, our partner in this project, has been there for the Vietnamese Muslims for years with all the support they provided. I am sure that the participating women will benefit from this greatly.”
