TİKA Supports Preserving Traditional Folk Dances in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided the folklore ensemble of the Neretva Cantonwith costumes.

The Neretva Folklore Ensemble is based in the Hersek-Neretva Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina and performs under the Jablanica Municipality. This all-student Ensemble promotes the cultural heritage of the people living in Bosnia and Herzegovina across multiple countries with a team of about 200 members.

TİKA provided folklore costume to the Ensemble that has been performing for about 30 years and has experienced issues on rehearsals due to costumes wearing out over time.    

The support given intends to aid the Ensemble's participation in numerous national and international festivals in addition to promoting and contributing to preservation of Bosnia and Herzegovina's cultural heritage, which is at risk of being lost to time.
