TİKA Supports Mongolian Children's Palace

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) renovated the foreign language classroom at Children’s Palace, which has 4,000 students and is considered one of the longest-established educational institutions in Mongolia.

Consisting of a total of 66 workshops, Mongolian Children’s Palace was established in 1958 to improve the children’s skills, to lead them to the right professions, and to ensure that they spend their spare time efficiently and effectively. Children between the ages of 9 and 17 are admitted to the palace.

4,000 children study art, painting, creativity, drama, theater, dance, and foreign language in the institution, which has had 135,000 graduates so far.

In the palace, the foreign language classroom, which had not been renovated or equipped since the establishment of the palace, was renovated and equipped with modern devices by TİKA. Thanks to this project, a solid and effective foreign language education was provided to nearly 600 students.

In her speech at the delivery ceremony of the project, Principal of Mongolian Children’s Palace Tsengelmaa Byambabaatar stated that an operational classroom suitable for both theoretical and applied foreign language education with its necessary equipment and design was built as part of the project.

Expressing her gratitude to TİKA and Turkey for this meaningful support on behalf of children, the future of Mongolia, Byambabaatar said that Turkish will also be taught in the abovementioned foreign language classroom.
