TİKA Supports Community Development in Togo

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) implemented 3 projects to support women, farmers, and orphans in Togo, an African country.

Carrying out projects to improve the living standards in Togo, like in many other African countries, TİKA supported the education of the orphans, providing them with stationery and school supplies.

Within the projects carried out in the field of agriculture, TİKA provided crop transport vehicles to farmers in the city of Sokode.

Opening of the Sewing Workshop

Supporting the implementation of the Sewing Workshop, in which sewing-embroidery training will be held for women, TİKA provided the workshop with 30 sewing machines.

Constructional work of the “Sewing Workshop”, which is in the city enter of Lome, was completed last June. The opening ceremony was attended by TİKA’s Coordinator in Konakri, Mehmet Özdemir; Third Secretary in the Embassy of Lome, Tevfik Yavuzer; and Attache Mustafa Arik; President of the Association for Education and Development of Togo, Mahfouz Mako; the locals and the orphans.
