TİKA Stands by Children with Autism and Disabilities in Tajikistan

In cooperation with Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the State Agency for National Security of Tajikistan, a rehabilitation department, a sewing workshop and a playground were established at the Hisar Education Center for Children with Autism and Disabilities.

In Hisar, Tajikistan, a rehabilitation center was established and equipped in order to enhance the physical infrastructure of the Hisar Education Center for Children with Autism and Disabilities, which is affiliated with the Mohru Association, operating under the State Agency for National Security. Additionally, a modern playground was established at the Center, and a sewing workshop was set up to provide special education for girls with various disabilities.

Hisar Education and Rehabilitation Center for Children with Autism and Disabilities, managed by the Mohru Association, is a center operating under the responsibility of the State Agency for National Security and provides rehabilitation and education services to approximately 140 children with autism and physical disabilities. Specifically, children from economically disadvantaged families receive services from this center.

The opening ceremony of the project was held with the participation of Umut Acar, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Dushanbe; Bunafsha Yuldoshzoda, Deputy Governor of Hisar City; Abdulhakim Kholzoda, Director of the State Agency for National Security of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan; and İbrahim Ethem Ünal, TİKA's Coordinator in Dushanbe.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Umut Acar expressed his pride in the projects implemented by TİKA in Tajikistan, highlighting the profound significance of a project that touches the lives of children with autism and disabilities. Abdulhakim Kholzoda, Director of the State Agency for National Security, conveyed his satisfaction with the cooperative projects with TİKA and pointed out that Tajikistan has strengthened socially through such projects.

TİKA continues to develop social responsibility projects that impact people's lives in Tajikistan.
