TİKA Renovates the Shrine of Imam Al adham Abu Hanifa in Baghdad

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) started the renovation of the shrine of Imam Al-adham Abu Hanifa.

The restoration project of Imam Al-adham Abu Hanifa complex in Baghdad, that was started by TİKA in 2019, is in progress. As part of the project, the renovation of the shrine of Imam Al-adham Abu Hanifa is started. During the renovation of the shrine, the floor will be removed and a new marble flooring will be laid, electricity, lighting, and the cooling system will be renewed, the door of the shrine will be renovated with a new handmade 'kündekari' wooden door, carpet laying that was specially prepared for the shrine will be laid, and upon laying the pushida prepared in Istanbul, the shrine will be opened to visitors.

As part of the Baghdad Imam Al-adham Abu Hanifa complex restoration project, electrical infrastructure systems and the library of the complex were renovated, a marble pulpit was installed, and the installation of outdoor lighting of the complex was completed. Currently, the work on the museum exhibition hall and the cooling systems in the mosque continues.
