TİKA Provides 3D Training in Tanzania

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) held the Basic 3D Design and 3D Printing Training at the Dar es-Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT).

Certificates were presented to 20 students from the engineering departments of the institute who successfully completed the 100-hour training program, which lasted for 3 weeks.

In his speech at the ceremony, Prof. Preksedis M. Ndomba, Principal of the Dar es-Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT), stated that they were happy to cooperate with Turkey and TİKA, and that the training would make a significant contribution to the personal development and employment of students. He noted that 3D technology is now used more widely in many sectors, and that they wanted to hold similar training courses in cooperation with TİKA.

Halil İbrahim Okur, TİKA’s Dar es-Salaam Coordinator, delivered a speech and said that TİKA attached utmost importance to training, especially vocational training, and that they were happy to cooperate with the DIT, one of the leading higher education institutions in Tanzania. Okur stated that the high interest of the Institute and the students in the program was a good sign for the new training programs that could be conducted in the future. Okur thanked the management of the DIT for their cooperation.

In his speech at the ceremony, Onur Yay, Chargé d'Affaires at the Turkish Embassy in Dar es-Salaam, thanked TİKA and the DIT for the training program, which would contribute to the positive relations between the two countries, and stated that such vocational training activities would be important tools in the fight against unemployment.

A 3D printer and filaments were delivered to the Institute at the end of the training program, which ended with the certificate presentation ceremony.
