12 November 2020TİKA Provided a Turkish Made Milking Machine to Kazakhstan
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided a mobile sheep and goat milking machine to Saken Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University in Kazakhstan.
The delivery ceremony held on the campus of the university was attended by Turkey’s Ambassador to Nur-Sultan Ufuk Ekici, Rector of Saken Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University Kayrat Aytuganov, TİKA’s Assistant Program Coordinator of Nur-Sultan İslam İsmail, faculty members, and students.
In his speech at the ceremony, Ambassador Ekici stated that he was happy that they came together within the scope of projects implemented for the benefit of society and students in many fields such as agriculture. He said, “We believe that these two sister nations will benefit from the development of cooperation between the two countries not only in politics and culture but also in arts, economy, education—in short, in every field. We believe that we bring the people of these two countries closer with such projects.”
Ekici stressed that the mobile sheep and goat milking machine delivered to Saken Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University in Kazakhstan as part of the Sheep Milk Research Project, launched with the support of TİKA, was entirely manufactured in Turkey. He said, “This project, which was launched within this university, will also benefit other countries in this region in waves.”
The Dairy Products Will Be Put on the Market
Noting that this machine can milk 15 sheep and goats simultaneously, TİKA’s Assistant Program Coordinator of Nur-Sultan İslam İsmail said, “Kazakhstan will be the first country to use such a machine in Central Asia. Thanks to the cooperation between the university and the private sector, various dairy products will be produced and put on the market.”
Rector of Saken Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University Kayrat Aytuganov noted that they had implemented 3 joint projects with TİKA in the last two years and that their cooperation would continue in this field.
