TİKA Organizes a Ramadan Program in Brunei

As part of the Ramadan programs organized by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in many countries in 2022, food parcels were distributed to families in need in Brunei.

As part of the program, which was organized in cooperation with the Turkish Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan and the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports of Brunei, food parcels containing staples were distributed to 300 families in need in the capital of Brunei and in neighboring regions.

The ceremony, which was held at Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in the capital, was attended by Prof. Hamit Ersoy, the Republic of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Bandar Seri Begawan; Hajah Nor Ashikin, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports of Brunei; families in need; Embassy employees; and ministry officials.

In her speech at the ceremony, Undersecretary Hajah Nor Ashikin said that they were pleased with the assistance activity, and expressed her gratitude to TİKA and the Turkish Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan. At the ceremony, Ambassador Ersoy delivered a short speech on TİKA’s history, mission, and projects and activities around the world.
