TİKA Organized “Smart City Systems” Training in Tajikistan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) worked in cooperation with Konya Metropolitan Municipality and organized a training on “Smart City Systems and Strategic Planning in Local Administrations and IoT in the Public Sector” for the staff of Dushanbe Municipality and Smart City Presidency.

TİKA worked in cooperation with Konya Metropolitan Municipality and gave a training on “Smart City Systems and Strategic Planning in Local Administrations and IoT in the Public Sector” to 20 people working for Dushanbe Municipality and Smart City Presidency.

The trainings, which lasted for 6 days, were given by the responsible people from Konya Metropolitan Municipality. They focused on topics such as strategic planning, smart cities, optimisation of public transport, bike transportation, traffic demand management, smart transportation systems and elaborated on application examples. The training program made it possible for Konya Metropolitan Municipality and Dushanbe Municipality to cooperate in “Smart City Management and Strategic Planning”.

In addition to the trainings on smart city systems, representatives from diverse Tajikistani institutions received a two-day training on “IoT in the Public Sector”. Throughout the training, a total of 20 participants were informed about the technologies used in the internet of things, importance of data and data management, internet of things in smart buildings, commonly used technologies in public services, information security in smart cities, internet of things in security services, internet of things in transportation services and internet of things in health services.  

The participants who completed the training were given certificates in a ceremony attended by Sai Samadzod, Dushanbe Municipality Smart City President, Mustafa Haşim Polat, TİKA Training Projects Coordinator and İbrahim Erbir, TİKA Dushanbe Program Coordinator.
