TİKA Installed an Internet Cafe for Individuals with Albinism in Cameroon

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) installed an internet cafe in Cameroon, the income of which will be used for individuals with albinism.

All the necessary materials for the internet cafe were delivered with the ceremony that was held at the headquarters of the “Association for the Promotion of Albinos” (APAC) in Yaounde, the capital city of Cameroon.

With its operating income, the cafe aims to upgrade the socioeconomic condition of individuals with albinism and make it easier for them to have access to information technologies.

In his speech during the ceremony, TİKA’s Coordinator in Yaounde, Burak Özden, stated “As TİKA, we have been carrying out development projects in various regions of the country since 2012. Accordingly, we have carried out more than 150 projects in various fields, such as health, education, animal husbandry, and agriculture.

Özden also stated that their goal is to form a revenue item with the operating income obtained from the cafe to supply the materials individuals with albinism use for sun protection.
