25 May 2013TİKA Gave Support To Public Lecture: “Democratic Political Culture” In Georgia
With the contribution of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), a seminar was held on 16-17 May 2013 in Gudauri where is famous for winter tourism.
A large number of local experts, diplomatic committee and foreign visitors participated in the seminar. Armaz Akhvlediani, the Director of the Tbilisi School of Political Studies, made an opening speech. In the opening speech, he gave information about the school’s activities and goals and also he expressed his thanks to TİKA.
In the seminar, some topics like the problems encountered after the election, the negative effects of the dichotomy of the two executive powers (Prime Minister and President), current situation and success of community of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali districts were discussed.
Tea Tsulukiani, The Minister of Justice of Georgia and Davit Bakradze, Georgia’s ex-speaker of parliament, attended the seminar. Without mentioning political issues, they expressed their feelings in a positive atmosphere.
This seminar continued with a classical music performance.
