TİKA Established a "Robotic Laboratory" in Lebanon

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) established a “robotic lab” in the city of Saida of Lebanon.

A “robotic lab” was established within the science center named Vision Academy owned by Al Rayaa Association which operates in the field of education and humanitarian aid in and around Saida in Lebanon with support from TİKA.

As a part of the project, material and equipment support including arduino kits and educational robot kits which are interactive project kits, smart boards, computers, experiment tables, and 3D printers was provided.

Ambassador of Türkiye to Lebanon, Ali Barış Ulusoy, TİKA’s Coordinator in Beirut, Orhan Aydın, President of Al Rayaa Association, Fuad Jardali, association members, and political party representatives attended the opening ceremony for the project in Vision Academy.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of Al Rayaa Association, Jardali stated that as an association, they carry out various activities with many institutions in different fields, particularly education, in Saida. Jardali thanked Türkiye and TİKA for their support in establishing this lab that will play a critical role in preparing young people for the future.

Ambassador of Türkiye to Lebanon, Ulusoy also stated that Türkiye will continue to support the people of Saida and Lebanon and that the projects carried out by TİKA in many parts of the country so far are a sign for this.

About the Project

It is aimed to train 100 young people at the first stage with the center where scientific training for young people of all ages studying in primary and secondary school, high school, and university will be provided.

The project held in accordance with the United Nation’s sustainable development goal 4 (ensuring inclusive and equitable education) aims to help students conduct scientific research and development studies and improve their skills in this field.

There are also plans for a social media studio within the center to be created in the following period.
