TİKA Donates Medical Equipment to Colombian University

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) donated technical equipment to a Colombian university Wednesday to be utilized by students and academics.

TIKA donated the material to the nursing faculty of the University of Antioquia in the northwestern city of Medellin.

A fully equipped patient simulator, a computer with drug recognition program and a vital symptom monitor were presented to school administrators during a ceremony, attended by TIKA’s Bogota Coordinator Mehmet Ozkan.

Lina Maria Zuleta Vanegas, dean of the nursing faculty, said TIKA made a very important contribution to the expansion of the capacity for training students and about 700 undergraduate and graduate students will benefit from the advanced technology equipment.

Administrators thanked Turkey and TİKA for its support.

TIKA was established in 1992 and is responsible for implementing Turkey’s developmental cooperation policies overseas.

TİKA works more than 170 countries around the world.
