TİKA Distributed Ramadan Packages to 1000 Families in Karachi, Pakistan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency Presidency – TİKA continues to meet with brother and sister tables during Ramadan. After the food distribution organizations held in Rawalpindi, Murree and Mansehra cities of Pakistan, food packages were distributed to 1000 families in need in Karachi as well.

TİKA helped those who live in difficult conditions in Surjani Town which is one of the world's largest landfills, near Karachi.  TİKA gave Ramadan feast supplies to those 1000 families who try to make a living by selling the garbage they collect from the landfills. Food parcels were delivered to those in need with the organization held in cooperation with Idara-Al Khair which operates in the fields of education and health in Pakistan. Children who came with their families were also not forgotten and various toys were presented to children who shared the difficult conditions in the region with their families.

TİKA hosted hundreds of thousands of iftar feasts in hundreds of countries around the world with food aid distributed during Ramadan and iftar programs held, it will continue to take place at brother and sister tables throughout the month of Ramadan.
