TİKA Distributed Food Parcels in Mexico on the Occasion of Ramadan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed food parcels to Muslims and low-income families living in Mexico City on the occasion of Ramadan.

TİKA distributed food parcels to a total of 20 families living in the municipalities of Iztapalapa, Gustavo A. Madero, and Azcapotzalco in Mexico City in the first phase of the Ramadan Programs planned for Ramadan 2022.

As part of the project, Ramadan food parcels will be distributed to the Muslim minority and indigenous peoples living in Chiapas, which is located in southern Mexico and has the highest poverty rate in Mexico (75.5%), in cooperation with the National Institute of Indigenous Peoples (INPI) during the entire month of Ramadan.

As part of the program, the Agency will distribute food parcels in Guatemala and Costa Rica, as well as in Mexico, and hold an iftar dinner for the Muslim minority and impoverished households in Havana, Cuba. The program also includes the distribution of Ramadan food parcels to a total of 200 families and Ramadan stationery parcels to a total of 100 children in Mexico during the entire month of Ramadan.
