TİKA Carried Out a Drill for Bosnian Search and Rescue and Medical Team

"Advanced Medical and Urban Search and Rescue and First Aid Training" was jointly organized by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and IHH Ankara Search and Rescue Emergency Aid (ANSAR) in capital city Sarajevo with the attendance of nearly 60 trainees from different entities of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

After the theoretical and practical training between 18 – 22 September 2023, a joint drill was held in Sarajevo on 22 September 2023.

The training was a continuation of the "Urban Search and Rescue, Introduction to Emergency Management and Medical Search and Rescue Training" carried out between 7-13 May 2023 in Sarajevo.

After the drill, the certification ceremony for the trainees who completed the training successfully was held in Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the attendance of Türkiye's Ambassador to Sarajevo, Sadık Babür Girgin; TİKA's Program Coordinator in Sarajevo, Erdinç Işık and Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Principal Clerk, Mlađen Božović.

Božović expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina and TİKA ongoing over the years and emphasized that they want to continue their cooperation on civil protection.

In his speech, Türkiye's Ambassador to Sarajevo, Sadık Babür Girgin, mentioned that they will continue to support these projects aiming to save people and thanked search and rescue teams who save lives with their work along with the trainers from Türkiye. 

In his speech, the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Principal Clerk, Mlađen Božović, stated their appreciation towards the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina and TİKA's cooperation ongoing over the years and emphasized that they want to continue their cooperation on civil protection.
