21 September 2020TİKA Built an Agricultural Research and Application Garden at Kabul University
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) built a research and application garden in the Faculty of Agriculture at Kabul University.
At the inauguration ceremony of the agricultural garden, TİKA’s Kabul Coordinator Zühtü Çal mentioned TİKA’s activities in Afghanistan and said that they have implemented hundreds of projects in different fields so far. Çal stated that they strive to strengthen the long-standing bond of friendship built between the countries in the era of Amanullah Khan and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. He said that the training and research activities to be carried out in the research and application garden that they built in the Faculty of Agriculture at Kabul University would contribute to the development of Afghanistan to some extent. Çal stressed that TİKA would continue to stand in solidarity with the people and government of Afghanistan as much as it could.
Mohammad Osman Babury, Rector of Kabul University, thanked the government and people of Turkey for their sincere support for Afghanistan. Stressing that the support of Turkey for Afghanistan especially in the field of education is vital, Babury noted that the research and application garden is an exemplary project that would contribute greatly to the education of the students of the Faculty of Agriculture.
