TİKA Built a Speech Therapy Room in a Kindergarten in Croatia

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) built a fully-equipped Logopedics Room in Slatina Zeko Kindergarten, which has been operating in Slatina in eastern Croatia since 1974 and has so far provided education to more than 300 children.

Logopedics is a type of speech and language therapy, which has a very high success rate when performed at a young age. It helps children acquire the ability to express themselves correctly, contributes to the development of the society and the establishment of healthy interpersonal communication, and supports social integration.

As part of the project implemented in this context, the Logopedics Room in Slatina Zeko Kindergarten was renovated, and Logopedics educational materials and devices used in speech therapy were donated.

Thanks to the project, children who previously needed to go to Osijek and Virovitica, located nearly 100 km away, to receive speech therapy had the chance to receive the therapy at their kindergartens.
