The trainees who successfully completed the 3D Design and Informatics training, which was organized in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, with the cooperation between the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Ministry of Education, received their certificates.
As part of the Vocational Training and Employment Program (MESİP), the trainees who were divided into groups of computer, mechanical and electronic engineers had the opportunity to design and create products by using the domestically produced 3D printers.
During his speech at the ceremony, where 24 trainees that successfully completed the training received their certificates, Turkish Ambassador to Colombo Tunca Özçuhadar stated that the training program was completed successfully with the support of TİKA and new projects would be carried out in Sri Lanka in other fields as well. The trainees who received their certificates expressed their gratitude towards Turkey and TİKA for both theoretical and applied courses.
As part of the training, 3D design centers were established in the Institute of Technology and Administrative Sciences at the University of Peradeniya. At the next stages of the project, it is planned to carry out the 3D design and informatics training sessions at ‘advanced’ and ‘training of trainers’ levels.
