TIKA Renovated and Equipped the Gragon Filipovic Jusa Children’s Home in Belgrad

President H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, attended the opening of Gragon Filipovic Jusa Children’s Home renovated by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Belgrad.

  In the 2-flat home, orphan children aged between 3-7 years and 9-15 years old who are in need of care from the first and second level, are staying. TIKA donated kitchen and bedroom furniture, as well as renovated the interior living space.  Outside the home, TIKA reorganized the playground, built  a small summer class and painted the walls with some cartoon characters. With all of these modifications Jusa Children’s Home became a peaceful and comfortable venue for orphan children.  
  TIKA in Serbia  

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) was established in 1992 and is responsible for implementing Turkey’s developmental cooperation policies overseas. TİKA operates in more than 170 countries around the world. TIKA Belgrade Program Coordination Office was established in 2009 in Serbia. So far, Belgrade PCO has initiated 223 Projects all around Serbia and contributed to Serbia’s development. 35% of these projects were carried out in the field of education while 16% were in the field of health.  The overall goal of these social, economic and cultural cooperation activities is to ensure peace and co-development among the societies.
