The Photography Exhibition “For the Love of Türkiye” Was Held in Montenegro

The photography exhibition “For the Love of Türkiye” was opened in Montenegro on the occasion of the anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations in Montenegro, as well as many invitees, including Bosniak and Albanian politicians.

In Montenegro, a photography exhibition was opened on the occasion of the Democracy and National Unity Day, celebrated on July 15, at the Islamic Cultural Center of Bar, the construction of which was completed by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in 2014. The photography exhibition “For the Love of Türkiye” was held by the Turkish Embassy in Podgorica, TİKA’s Program Coordination Office in Podgorica, and the Islamic Community of Montenegro from July 12 to 18, 2022.

“A Struggle for Freedom and Democracy”

In her speech at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Songül Ozan, the Republic of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Podgorica, stated that the Turkish people put up a great struggle to protect their freedom and democracy on the night of July 15. Ozan noted that the treacherous coup attempt against the unity and solidarity of the Turkish people was put down under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. After the opening statements, the invitees took a tour of the photography exhibition, featuring the photographs of the night of the coup attempt.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations in Montenegro, as well as many invitees, including Bosniak and Albanian politicians.
