The International “Civil Society Capacity-Building Program” Was Organized in Congo-Brazzaville with TİKA’s Support

The International Council for Justice, Equality and Peace (COJEP International) conducted the “Civil Society Capacity-Building Program” in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of the Congo, with the support of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).

The African edition of the Civil Society Capacity-Building Program, which is organized by COJEP in Asia, Eurasia, and Africa every year, was conducted in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of the Congo, this year. Representatives of nearly 150 NGOs attended the program.

In his opening remarks, Ali Gedikoğlu, President of the COJEP International, stressed that a fair world can only be achieved through solidarity and cooperation between NGOs. Gedikoğlu stated that COJEP carries out international activities in the fields of youth affairs, fight against racism and discrimination, democratic participation, and equal rights. He added that Global Civil Solidarity Forums will be held in Indonesia and Uzbekistan this year with TİKA’s support.

Marlette Kyssama, representative of COJEP Congo, stressed the power of civil society in Africa and the importance of NGOs for Africans and noted that many joint cooperation projects can be developed with the representatives of NGOs who participated in the program in Congo-Brazzaville.

The program ended with the presentation of certificates of participation to the representatives of NGOs.
