Supported by TİKA, the Movie Teşgilat Minalayalar Zamanı Premiered in the TRNC

The movie Teşgilat Minalayalar Zamanı, which was produced by Mormenekşe (Limnia) Women's Association with the support of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), premiered in Famagusta.

The movie Teşgilat Minalayalar Zamanı, which was directed by Ahmet Eray Gündoğmuş and written by Erşen Ummanel, premiered at Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center in Famagusta.

Teşgilat Minalayalar Zamanı is a feature film and tells the story of the Maratha, Santalaris and Aloda Massacre, which is one of the most painful incidents in the Turkish Cypriot history and is still fresh in the minds of many, even after so many years, from a child’s perspective. The movie was shot in memory of women and children who were killed in the massacre, and featured volunteers and amateur actors and actresses from the village of Limnia and nearby villages.

The premiere, which attracted great interest, was attended by Ersin Tatar, President of the TRNC; Zorlu Töre, Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly of the TRNC; Havva Pınar Özcan Küçükçavuş, TİKA’s Program Coordinator in Nicosia; members of the parliament of the TRNC; chairpersons of associations; and local people.
