Support from TİKA to Professional Training in Tajikistan

“Basic Shoe-Making Training” was given in Dushanbe, the capital pf Tajikistan with the support of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).

“Basic Shoe-Making Training” was given at the Shoe-Making Training and Production Centre of Dushanbe Vocational High School for Disabled Students under the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan. A total of 20 people including the teachers employed at the Shoe-Making Training and Production Center, students and experts and masters from other corporations operating in the sector participated in the training. During the training, the participants were informed about the design and making of shoes in a detailed way.

Support to the Employment of Youth People with Disabilities 

The participants were given certificates at the end of the program. The Ambassador of Türkiye in Dushanbe, Emre Zeki Karagöl, Vice Minister of Labour, Immigration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan, Alişer Alizoda, Chairman of Light Industry and Cotton Industry of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, Malika Yorbobyeva and TİKA’s Dushanbe Coordinator, İbrahim Erbir attended the ceremony. The main objective of the training was to train qualified people in order to improve the shoe-making industry in Tajikistan and increase the employment of young people with disabilities trained at the center.

The second phase of the program will continue with advanced shoe-making trainings intended for trainers and masters who have completed the basic training.
