Support from TİKA to International Culture Festival of Peoples of the World

International Culture Festival of Peoples of the World was organized in Kyrgyzstan with the support of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).

International Culture Festival of Peoples of the World organized by Ankara Club Foundation’s Kyrgyzstan Coordination with the support of TİKA was held in the region of Issyk-Kul in Cholpon Ata, Kyrgyzstan from June 27th to July 2nd, 2022. More than 350 contestants from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, India and England participated in the contest.

Organisation Committee and Jury Members

Magic Felt Public Fund Kyrgyzstan and Ununea Democrata Tatara were in the organisation committee. Naim Bilgin from Tatar Democratic Romania, Dr. Metin Özaslan from Ankara Club Foundation, Burul Mambetova from Magic Felt Public Fund Kyrgyzstan and Mira Toktogonova, Central Asia Culture Festivals Coordinator were the jury members.

Seymens of Ankara Club Foundation rank the 1st

The contestants displayed performance in dance, music and handicrafts in the International Culture Festival of Peoples of the World. The jury members graded their performance. Seymens (male folk dancers) of Ankara Club Foundation ranked the first, while bacıerens (female folk dancers) ranked the second. The winners were awarded a city tour in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Following the International Culture Festival of Peoples of the World, the seymens of Ankara Club Foundation displayed three performances in Kyrgyzstan National History Museum in Bishkek, which has been renovated by TİKA. TİKA’s Kyrgyzstan Coordinator Osman Usta and the Chairman of Ahiska Turks Foundation, Atamşa Dursunov attended the event in the museum.

More than 900 projects in 29 years

TİKA’s Kyrgyzstan Coordinator, Usta stated that TİKA has been active in Kyrgyzstan for 29 years and carried out more than 900 projects in education, health, agriculture, culture and tourism. Usta said, “To us, Kyrgyzstan is the land of our ancestors. It is an important and privileged place for TİKA”.

At the end of the ceremony, the seymens and bacıerens visited the museum.
