Support For The Development Of The Democratic Republic Of Congo

Office equipment and computers were supplied to the Office of NGOs, Private and Public Sector Support which operates under the Democratic Republic of Congo Ministry of Employment and Social Security.

The Democratic Republic of Congo, which is the most heavily populated and largest country in Africa, is also home to some of the poorest people on the African continent. Since the end of the civil war in 2003 in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where nearly five million people lost their lives, intense efforts have been underway to mend the wounds of the war.
TİKA, an organization which provides services to the people in the countries where it operates, is working towards helping the wounds of civil war heal in the Democratic Republic of Congo and making living conditions better by supporting government agencies to increase their institutional capacity. In this context TİKA has provided a variety of office supplies and computers to the Office of NGOs, Private and Public Sector Support which operates under the Democratic Republic of Congo Ministry of Employment and Social Security.

The supplies provided by TİKA were handed over by the Turkish Republic Kinshasa Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo Minister of Employment and Social Security Modeste Bahati Lukwebo in a ceremony organized for the event. Democratic Republic of Congo Minister of Employment and Social Security Modeste Bahati Lukwebo thanked Turkey for its help and added that the Democratic Republic of Congo would become the stage for a more participatory development with the help of countries like Turkey and that the poorest portions of the community would benefit as well from this development.
