“Search and Rescue in Nature Training” in Lebanon

In cooperation with Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and IHH Disaster Academy, “Search and Rescue in Nature Training” for personnel from different non-governmental organizations in Lebanon was organized.

The “Instructor Training” stage which is the 3rd and final phase of the “Search and Rescue in Nature Training” conducted as a part of the Emergency and Disaster Response Training Program (ADAMEP) in cooperation with TİKA and IHH Disaster Academy was completed.

The program for 36 personnel from non-governmental organizations named Awareness and Consolation, Islamic Medical, Healing and Lebanon Safety Associations that carry out emergency and humanitarian aid activities in different parts of Lebanon was held with the participation of 7 instructors from IHH Disaster Academy.

TİKA’s Coordinator in Beirut, Orhan Aydın, IHH Board Member in charge of Foreign Affairs, Emre Kaya, IHH Board Member in charge of Disaster Management, Ömer Kars, IHH Disaster Academy instructors, association representatives, and trainees attended the certification ceremony at the end of the training.

During the training from 17 to 21 October 2022, rescuing the disaster victim through pulley systems, rescuing by setting up consecutive safety points, rescuing by setting up straight overhead lines and inclined overhead lines, and effective presentation techniques were explained.
