Martyrs of July 15 Were Commemorated in Cameroon on the Democracy and National Unity Day

Martyrs of July 15 were commemorated with the ceremonies held by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Turkish Embassy in Yaoundé.

At the commemoration ceremony held at the Embassy residence, a photography exhibition about July 15 was opened, and prayers were offered for the martyrs.

The program organized after the noon prayer performed at the Yaoundé Central Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the capital, included the recitation of the Quran and prayers for the martyrs of July 15. The commemoration ceremony was attended by the members of the congregation and many invitees.

In his speech at the ceremony, Ambassador Işıkçı said, “The glorious struggle of our ancestors in history and the heroism of our nation on the night of July 15 around the principles of one nation, one flag, one country, and one state will continue to inspire us to overcome our troubles and march towards the future.” More than 300 people attended the commemoration ceremony. The guests were informed about the events on July 15 through the photography exhibition.
