İftar Dinner to Lebanese Orphans from TİKA

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) organized an iftar program for 270 orphans in Akkar, Lebanon.

The program took place in El-İslami Children’s Home, which hosts 270 children aged from 3 to 17. Of the 270 children, 185 are orphans and permanent residents of the Children’s Home, and 85 are disabled and day guests.

Ali Barış Ulusoy, Ambassador of Türkiye in Beirut, Nasa Salam Naja, General Director of Social Welfare Institute, Furkan Özdemir, Yunus Emre Institute Beirut Coordinator, Colonel Cafer Öz, the Ministry of Interior Attaché and Lieutenant Erdal Pekin, Vice Military Attaché participated in the iftar program. 

Delivering a speech in the program, Ulusoy thanked TİKA and the administration of the Children’s Home for helping to organize this meaningful event. He said, “We, as Türkiye, hold Lebanon and Lebanese people dear. Our presence here with TİKA today is a sign of this love.”

The Orchestra of Al Rabiata Al Sakafia Association, created with the instrument aid provided by TİKA in the previous years, performed during the iftar dinner. 

The program ended as TİKA gave children gifts.
