Held in Cooperation with TRT, TİKA Provided New Media Journalism Advanced Training to 24 Journalist from 7 Countries

In cooperation with Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), projects to increase the qualified person source continue in friendly and sister nations.

A total of 24 journalists from the Balkan countries of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia attended the “New Media Journalism Advanced Training”, held in TRT Ankara studios.

The journalists who had completed the New Media Journalism Basics Training with four different trainings last year came to our country for the hands-on trainings this year. As part of the training, lessons and workshops carried out in fields such as; foundations of creating visual language in camera, digital media and design, video production for social media and digital media management and reporting.

Following a week of training, in the certification ceremony Head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Partnerships at TİKA, Uğur Tanyeli said: ”The Balkans is one of the regions where we have carried out the most projects.This is an indicator of our attention to the region. In this context, we care about the development of human resource and experience sharing.”

While mentioning that the media industry is getting more digitalized at high speed, TRT Education Department Vice President Ubeydullah Yener said: “I hope you can also produce more efficient content in the digital world through this training.”

Media trainings that are carried out in cooperation with TİKA and TRT are planned to continue in the future for journalists from different regions.
