Food Aid to Santos Mosque Association in Brazil

In cooperation with Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Turkish Consulate General in Sao Paulo, 100 food parcels were donated to the Municipality of Santos and the Santos Mosque (Mesquita Islâmica de Santos) association in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Santos Deputy Mayor Renata Bravo and Santos Muslim Community Leader Salah Mohamad Ali attended the delivery ceremonies and stated that they were thankful for the help. Salah Mohamad Ali stated that they are trying to establish projects to develop cooperation and relationship with Turkey in every field in the coming period.

Santos is one of the oldest port cities in Brazil, and the mosque, which was founded by mostly Lebanese and Syrian Arabs who migrated to the region in the 1950s, is one of the first mosques in South America.
