First Lady Emine Erdoğan Visits Children's Hospital in Belgrade

Accompanying President Erdoğan who came to Serbia to pay official visits, First Lady Emine Erdoğan attended the key delivery ceremony of the ambulance donated by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) to the hospital in Belgrade.

First Lady Emine Erdoğan, who visited Dr. Vokan Cupic Children's Hospital as part of the Belgrade program, emphasized that Turkey centers "people first" philosophy in health services and reminded that the country is home to 4 million refugees in this context.

First Lady Emine Erdoğan said, “As Turkey, we endeavor to be the first country to reach all emergencies in the world. We stand by women and children all over the world with all our institutions wherever needed.”

Stating her wishes that the ambulance provided by TİKA would further increase the capacity of the children's hospital, First Lady Emine Erdoğan said that TİKA's project aims to contribute to the improvement of the physical infrastructure and facilities of the Serbian health sector.

First Lady Emine Erdoğan expressed her appreciation for the improvement of relations between the two countries.

After the ceremony, First Lady Emine Erdoğan visited the children who were treated in the oncology service of the hospital with the accompanying delegation. Emine Erdoğan also met a 16-year-old girl, who has to receive her chemotherapy treatment alone as her mother is a renal patient, and celebrated her birthday.

The wife of Serbian President Aleksandr Vucic, Tamara Vucic, Minister of Health of Serbia, Zlatibor Loncar, and TİKA President, Serkan Kayalar accompanied First Lady Emine Erdoğan during the visit.
