Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) sends aid packages with food and hygiene products to the needy families in Kosovo as part of the Ramadan activities.
TİKA carried on the distribution of the aid packages in the Municipality of Skenderaj, which will be handed out to needy people in the month of Ramadan. During the distribution that took place in front of the municipality building, the Mayor of Skenderaj Bekim Yaşari issued a press statement to the AA reporter, saying that there has been a perfect relationship in many areas between the Municipality of Skenderaj and TİKA ever since their activities began in Kosovo. Yaşari said: “On behalf of the municipality of Skenderaj, I'd like to express my gratitude to TİKA, and through TİKA, the people and state of Turkey as well, for all the help that they have provided for the independence of our country since the difficult years of war and for all the help they provide now for the development of our country. I hope the cooperations between these two brother nations will increasingly continue.”
TİKA Kosovo Coordinator Cihat Dinçer pointed out that they would be carrying out their charitable activities during the month of Ramadan under the name "Erenler Sofrası" and said: "The Republic of Turkey and Turkish people will stand by the people of Kosovo during the month of Ramadan just as we have always been." The distributions for the needy people have already started in the municipalities of Skenderaj, Mamusha, Vushtrri and Mitrovica; whereas they will be carried on in Prizren and Dragash in the upcoming days.
