Erenler Sofrası is in Jordan

As part of the "Erenler Sofrası" Ramadan Program, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) began the distribution of 900 food packages to needy families in Jordan.

In cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and Turkish Charity Organization, 21 tonnes of food products will be delivered in 900 packages to needy families by complying with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) measures.

The packages, which have been distributed as part of the program organized in the name of Yunus Emre, Haji Bektash Veli and Ahi Evran, contain basic food products such as sugar, rice and oil, as well as boxwood spoons as a symbolic gesture that represents the humility and hospitability of Anatolian Erens.

Since the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey declared 2021 as the Year of Yunus Emre and Turkish Language, the Year of Haji Bektash Veli and the Year of Ahi Evran, TİKA has planned Ramadan social solidarity projects under the name "Erenler Sofrası", which are being carried out in 87 countries.
