Equipment Support from TİKA to the Art and Profession Institute in Afghanistan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) delivered educational materials for Kemaleddin Behzad Art and Profession Institute in the Herat province of Afghanistan.

TİKA’s Coordinator in Herat, Arafat Deniz, Principal of Maarif Foundation Afghan Turkish School in Herat, İnal Çelikçi, Manager of Technical and Vocational Education, Envarulhak Jemen, Kemaleddin Behzad, Manager of the Art and Profession Institute, Mustemend Guri, members of the Calligraphers Union in Herat, artists, and many students attended the delivery ceremony of the equipment.

Beginning their speech by appreciating the activities held by TİKA in the western provinces of Afghanistan, Manager of Technical and Vocational Education Jemen stated that the fellowship bond between Türkiye and Afghanistan continues by growing stronger.

Manager of Kemaleddin Behzad Art and Profession Institute Guri gave information about the history and activities of the school and thanked TİKA for their support.

Speaking at the ceremony, TİKA’s Coordinator in Herat, Deniz said, “As TİKA, we have delivered the equipment for the education and practice of an institute providing higher education in art branches for the protection of traditional arts and the maintenance of fields of profession in Herat which have had an important place for art and culture throughout history. Our goal in this support is to prevent these art branches from being negatively affected by the conditions of this economic crisis.”
