Emine Erdoğan Visited the Mothers’ Centre built by TİKA

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s wife, Emine Erdoğan visited the Zveçanska Mothers’ Centre with Tamara Vucic, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's wife.

Emine Erdoğan and Tamara Vucic visited the centre built and decorated by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in 2020. The two first ladies were informed about the work done in the centre. The authorities from TİKA said that many projects for mothers and children have been carried out in Serbia.  

“TİKA, Türkiye’s honour”

Emine Erdoğan said TİKA is Türkiye’s honour and added that all details and necessities have been considered in the centre.  Tamara Vucic thanked Emine Erdoğan, TİKA and TİKA staff and said, "This was a small, prefabricated house in primitive conditions, and it has now turned into this beautiful centre. I am sure that women will gather and recover psychologically here and find peace together”.

Emine Erdoğan and Vucic presented gifts to mothers and children at the centre.  

Zveçanska Mothers’ Centre

Single mothers can stay at the Zveçanska Mothers’ Centre with their babies. The centre was built and equipped by TİKA.  The centre consists of a dormitory, activity area, restaurant, family and meeting room placed in an area of 1000 m2.
