Emine Erdoğan Got Together with Children with Special Needs in Sarajevo

First Lady Emine Erdoğan opened the multisensory room in Vladimir Nazor Special Children’s School established by TİKA.

Emine Erdoğan accompanied President Erdoğan during his official trips to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia and visited the Vladimir Nazor Special Children’s School at the first stop, Sarajevo.

Emine Erdoğan opened the “multisensory room” created for children with special needs with Vildana Caferoviç, Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Council’s President Şefik Caferoviç’s wife. Mrs. Erdoğan was informed about the work done at the school by the principal and teachers, and she then had a chat with students. Then, Emine Erdoğan watched the music and dance show performed by the students with special needs.

The Minister of Education in Sarajevo Canton, Naida Hota Muminovic gave a speech at the opening ceremony and said they are very happy with Emine Erdoğan’s visit. She stated, “We are very happy with what Türkiye has done for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we are especially thankful that you have not forgotten our special children, a vulnerable group.”

Emine Erdoğan said, "I extend my thanks to you for paving the way for and leading this event.”

The principal, Maida Idrizoviç gave information about the education programs at the school and said, “Thanks to you, we now have a school at European standards.”

Emine Erdoğan's visit to the Maarif Foundation’s School

Emine Erdoğan visited the Maarif Foundation’s School during her trip to Sarejevo. The students welcomed Mrs. Erdoğan with Turkish flags.

Emine Erdoğan visited the pre-school and primary school classes, got information from the authorities, and talked with the students. During her trip, the 2^nd class students sang a song called “Hello” for Mrs. Erdoğan. Erdoğan was also given a picture with a special Bosnian lily in it.

Prof. Birol Akgün, President of the Board of Trustees of the Turkish Maarif Foundation, accompanied Emine Erdoğan during her visit.
