Applied Vocational Training Was Provided To Tunisian Police

An applied vocational training program was organized for senior level police and security chiefs working for the Tunisian Police Organization, within the scope of the International Police Training Cooperation project being conducted through a cooperation between the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency Directorate and the Security General Directorate.

Tunisian and Turkish Police continue to share professional knowledge and experience under TİKA’s coordination. Within the scope of the International Police Training Cooperation project being conducted through the cooperation between TİKA and the Security General Directorate, specialist Turkish police assigned in various different departments of the Security General Directorate organized applied vocational training for senior level police and security chiefs working for the Tunisian Police Organization.

The vocational training programs are providing great benefits towards cooperation between the Turkish and Tunisian police in the fields of security and law enforcement. With the International Police Training Cooperation project being conducted through the cooperation between TİKA and the Security General Directorate, personnel working in various different departments of the Tunisian Security Directorate are provided with the opportunity to expand their professional knowledge and qualifications in their own area of expertise. A total of 451 police officers and security chiefs participated in the vocational training seminars held in Turkey and in Tunisia.

The Tunisian Security General Directorate authorities and the police who participated in the seminars expressed their satisfaction in the vocational training program and emphasized the significance of training and vocational formation programs of police instructors continuing between the Tunisian and Turkish law enforcement organizations. The Turkish and Tunisian authorities said that the vocational formation programs and cooperation being carried out mutually between Turkey and Tunisia have contributed greatly to the exchange of knowledge and experience between the organizations. At the end of the training program a plaque to express their gratitude was presented to the TİKA authorities by the Tunisian Law Enforcement Organization.
