President Of Benin Republic Dr. Boni Thomas Yayi Received The TİKA Delegation

President of the Benin Republic Dr. Boni Thomas Yayi received the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency delegation.

The negotiation Benin Republic President Dr. Boni Thomas Yayi held with the TIKA delegation was attended by Benin Minister of Foreign Affairs Nassirou Arifari Bakı, Minister of Agriculture Sabai Kate, Benin Ambassador to Turkey Moıse Tchando Kerekou, Benin Minister of State Issıfou Koguındouro, Benin Development Minister Marcel de Souza, Head of Cabinet Mme Hacheme, Honorary Consul of Benin and senior officials of the Ministry of Agriculture.

During his speech at the negotiation Benin Republic President Dr. Boni Thomas Yayi stated that their relations with Turkey are perfectly fine. Benin Republic President Dr. Boni Thomas Yayi expressed his contentment for the Turkish hospitality he and his Ministers received during their visit to Turkey and stated that they are pleased to host the TIKA delegation in Benin. After saying that they face problems in cotton production in Benin, Benin Republic President Dr. Boni Thomas Yayi stated that they would be glad to cooperate to increase cotton quality and yield with Turkey’s knowledge and experience on the subject. Benin Republic President Dr. Boni Thomas Yayi also called for Turkish business people to invest in Benin for chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

Due to the technical equipment support provided by TIKA to the Cotton Research Institute of Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Benin in scope of the “Cotton Production in Benin” project, Benin Republic President Dr. Boni Thomas Yayi invited the TIKA delegation to his office for a second time.

Benin Republic President Dr. Yayi offered his thanks to TIKA for providing technical equipment support to instructors in scope of the “Cotton Production in Benin” project. Republic President Dr. Yayi expressed his hopes for resuming the technical cooperation in scope of the “Cotton Production in Benin” project and conveyed his greetings and good wishes to President Abdullah Gül, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu and TIKA President Dr. Serdar Çam.

TIKA delegation told Republic President Dr. Yayi that they shall forward their investment demands within the framework of technical cooperation to the relevant Ministries and private sector organizations in Turkey and expressed their contentment for their kind hospitality.
