TIKA built a school with 42 classroom capacity in Mazar i Sharif

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has been building a school located in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh Province in North part of Afghanistan.

TIKA conducting various projects in numerous fields including education, health, women projects in Afghanistan will contribute to education of hundreds of students with the boy’s high school which has been built in Mazar-i-Sharif. 

TIKA Coordinator in Mazar-i-Sharif Kemal Kadir Karadoğan stated that TIKA has produced various projects for development of Afghanistan in the field of education, health, agriculture, culture, social and economy. Expressing that Afghanistan has rough edges in education and TIKA has built approximately 90 schools around Afghanistan so far in order to fill the gap, Karadoğan said “We started to built Bakhtar High School last year. The school will be finished next June.”
Stating that Bakhtar High School which 8 thousand students had been receiving education was one the oldest schools in Mazar-i-Sharif and Provincial Directorate of Education in Balkh requested a new school from TIKA due to the fact that old school building failed to fulfill the need, Karadoğan told that they built a modern school with 42- classroom capacity in the place of the old school building.

The school which totally has 3.500 square meter confined space will consist of computer, chemistry, biology and physics laboratories, library, conference hall, camellias, water fountain and a small mosque. It will also have a football pitch and a volleyball court in standard size (45×90 mt) for students’ sportive activities.
